Mmm books

What are you reading?

Finished:

Improv Wisdom, Patricia Ryan Madson
OMG such a great little book, applying improv principles to life. I'm finding so much overlap and interconnection between improv, buddhism/taoism, and craniosacral.

Current reading:

A Brief History of Everything, Ken Wilbur
It's time for me to investigate integral more seriously. I know this is one of his older books, but it's what the bookstore had and I wanted it NOW.

Spending, Mary Gordon
Almost done with this... not the highest of lit, but not the lowest either. Lots of funny feminist reflection disguised as dialogue. Some real gems sprinkled throughout.

Crisis: 40 stories revealing the personal, social, and religious pain and trauma of growing up gay in America, Mitchell Gold, ed.
My friend bought this for me; he is in his... late 30s? Maybe even early 40s? And just coming out in the last few years... really powerful book. I'm only through the forward and introduction and it's already powerful.

On the shelf:

A book of Mary Gordon's short stories that I cannot for the life of me find.
Job's Body: A Handbook for Bodywork, Deane Juhan
Sodomy and Interpretation: Marlowe to Milton, Gregory W. Bredbeck
god is not Great: How Religion Ruins Everything, Christopher Hitchens
The Translucent Revolution: How people just like you are waking up and changing the world, Arjuna Ardagh, foreward by Ken Wilbur
Queer Theory, Gender Theory: an instant primer, Riki Wilchins
A Theory of Everything, Ken Wilbur
If the Buddha Dated: a handbook for finding love on a spiritual path, Charlotte Kasl, Ph.D.
Loving What Is: four questions that can change your life, Byron Katie

What I really want to be reading:

Power vs Force: the hidden determinants of human behavior, David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
