Even though my temperature had been normal sometimes yesterday, I woke up today with a one degree fever. It's fluctuated today, sometimes normal, sometimes up a bit. Right now it's 1.2 degrees higher than normal. Mostly what's bothered me today is sinus congestion. I tried neti pot; fail.
I did manage to shower, because I thought somebunneh was going to vegetate to a movie with me, but he was even more wiped than me after too much work. I'z been a lonely bunny today but can't justify going out nor inviting anyone into my den of disease.
So I've just been puttering. Working on uploading Peru pics to Flickr. Watering and feeding my plants. At least pretending to unpack. Attempting to keep myself fed. The acupuncturist wants me on a clean diet for a week or two, and there's not much left in the house.
Today I ate the last potato and finished off the remaining good bread today. I still have sprouts, nuts, rice, pasta, a couple root vegetables, two small tomatoes, some chard I think is still good. I'll put some steel cut oats in the crockpot before attempting to sleep.
I've got nearly three pints of ice cream :-) Verboten. She clearly said, "Don't eat anything parasites like, in case you picked something up on your trip." I have no doubt that parasites LOVE ice cream. Don't we all? "Keep taking Traveler's Formula for three to five days." Yech. Although honestly after drinking ayahuasca, that Traveler's Formula is so easy, especially in orange juice.
Ok, back to writing the first draft of my trip report. Love to you all.

bunnehbear and I went to Brandy Ho's today, his first time, my second. For me, it was the restaurant's second chance.
I want to like this restaurant, if only for the interior. Or the plates and dinnerware. Or for being small and local.
But what's the point of being small and local if you come off like a chain? That is the biggest problem with this restaurant. Exhibit B, a piece of Brandy Ho's General Chicken. This is no natural piece of chicken. This is an artificially shaped, manufactured piece of chicken. Do not want.

We weren't terribly impressed at the food quality, preparation (the broccoli and rice for example were undercooked), flavor, or price.
And the "preciousness" as bunnehbear likes to call it is out of line for what they're offering. For example, when you order hot tea they bring a selection of tea bags in a wooden box for you to choose from. The tea itself is strictly average, however. It in no way deserves such presentation. The brand itself should be called "Ur Doing It Wrong Tea" for similar reasons: the tea itself is contained in what appear to be cloth tea bags, but these are packaged in cheap plastic wrappers with poor graphic design printed on them.
Bottom line: don't bother with this place. Head to House of Chen instead; less precious, but better food, and an authentic realness that manufactured slickness can't compete with.
